Emotional Vs Rationale

Emotions are the cognitive process however, Iam not out here to conduct a lecture or give notes on the background of emotions.Rather, this piece of information would provide some insights into the fundamental variations and the applications of emotions and rationality to different situations. For instance a manufacturing sector or any company in particular in the sector let us see how the two works. Industry by and large is a trade offs as we are all aware and it is a transactions supported by agreements.There is some amount of expectations from the customers and from the manufacturers which gets fulfilled during a deal. Similarly, in achieving the business targets there is a lot of rationale to it. The logical application results in better output and increased production. However, we forget the clues. There is no valuable thing   that is the  people who are our biggest assets and  without leveraging on their potential it is difficult to produce the results.Is rationale required to handle people? No it is emotions. People say that we deal with Emotions in one sector and Ego's in the other however the commonality is emotions are universal. Beyond the rationale the emotions if handled with care and respect will result in better produce in the company.

Not many HR professionals are skilled or tactful in dealing with emotions. Every human being has emotions and if that is identified appropriately and understood and reinforced it can be utilized to be successful. HR has to be cautious of people emotions and place the cards accordingly. Yes, it may sound like "Emotional Intelligence' by Daniel Goldman" 1995 but i respect him for having come out with such a book. The significance was not felt by an Indian is what my feeling is.

Emotions are to be dealt with heart and Rationality with the mind. Apply your mind with the job and apply your heart with the people. End of the day make each and everyone proud and happy people will cherish the work and as an HR you.
