Saddening Reality!!
Sunday Evening matters!!
Quality time supposed to be spent with parents. When my mom is busy preparing herself for a marriage , dad is busy ironing his shirt i took to writing. As my mom kept screaming for my behavior this evening with my Laptop i continued to draft something serious. Yes, it is a sad reality that is happening around us which i thought i should jot it down for the readers of my blog and also to record my views on a social forum.
Today i took to the education system on hand. May be a heavy subject for me handle at this point in time however, got some concrete proofs to validate my views here. Our education system is declining day by day. The ultimate purpose of education should be to enlighten the spirits of the students, instill hope, confidence and ingrain the deep rooted value system in order to make them nation builders. As Deen (An HR Consultant and a Social activist) often denotes, it is the responsibility of the institutions to build the people from within be it an institution or an organization. Building talent internally calls for a variety of exercises. To ponder over a few.
1.Supportive Board,Trust,Society
2.Visionary Leadership
3.Competent Faculty
4.Up- to- date Curriculum
5. State of Art Infrastructure
6.Focus on continual Improvement.
But on the contrary the sad reality is that, more than 70% of the colleges do suffer from lack of any 2 or more of the above said ingredients to develop leaders for the society. An ASSOCHAM study in 2013 revealed that placements have come down drastically in 40% of the B schools. This is on the placement side but the immediate effect of this is more than 180 B schools have been shutdown and nearly 140 are in the verge of shutting down. This is to change for which a lot of ground work needs to be done, the purpose of establishing an institution is to be changed. Understand the corporate needs and accordingly develop a framework. Furthermore, the sad story continues like this only 10% of the B School MBA's become employable and this is in addition to the already known fact that only 25% of the Engineering graduates are employable. Grave mistakes happening at every level leads to such huge disaster in India. A collective measure is important however the thought should be seeded so i have taken my evening time out to share the saddening reality to others. Interested write to me on cosmicmani.88@gmail.com or contact me on 7299488796. Let You and I be the change that we expect to see in our nation.
With concerted efforts anything is possible.
